Question 7

What do I need to bring?

Accepted Answer

The driver must be over 25 years old and have at least 2 years' driving experience. Two forms of ID and emergency contact details are required. Visitors may provide a passport together with their driving licence, and a foreign driving licence is accepted. A valid driving licence must be presented in all cases. Residents of Trinidad and Tobago must provide a recent utility bill showing their residential address; visitors must provide the address where they will be staying in Trinidad and Tobago instead. Please do not send ID scans through the website enquiry form or WhatsApp.

Question 8

Do I need a utility bill if I'm visiting from abroad?

Accepted Answer

No. Visitors provide the address where they will be staying in Trinidad and Tobago instead — a hotel, guesthouse or host address is accepted in place of a utility bill. Residents of Trinidad and Tobago provide a recent utility bill showing their residential address. Both are confirmed with your quote.

Question 9

How can I pay?

Accepted Answer

Card payments are preferred, and Linx is also accepted. Payment is handled directly with the Stark Auto Rentals team; the website does not take payments. Do not send card details through the enquiry form or WhatsApp.

Question 10

Can I arrange airport pickup or drop-off?

Accepted Answer

Piarco airport pickup and drop-off are arranged around your actual flight arrival or departure time, not the office's opening hours. Evening, Saturday-afternoon and Sunday handovers can be arranged at the airport, subject to availability. Office hours apply to the office and general enquiries; the exact handover time is confirmed in writing when the booking is arranged. The Piarco meeting point, waiting time, flight-delay handling and airport fees are confirmed with your quote.

Question 11

Can I collect a car outside your opening hours for a flight?

Accepted Answer

Collections and returns connected to a flight are scheduled around the flight's arrival or departure time, so an evening, Saturday-afternoon or Sunday flight can be worked around, subject to availability. Office hours apply to the office and general enquiries, and the exact handover time is confirmed in writing when the booking is arranged.

Question 12

How far in advance should I enquire?

Accepted Answer

Send your rental dates as early as you can. Vehicle availability depends on your dates and is confirmed by the team; an enquiry is not a confirmed booking.

Insurance coverage and any excess are confirmed with your quote before you decide.

Question 14

Are there mileage limits or a fuel policy?

Accepted Answer
